The Fitness Alphabet: Motivation Any Day!

Sometimes life can be complicated, including the concept of motivation…
As a wise mentor once told me, “We [humans] don’t really want to do anything.”
Ha! I can see the argument behind that, as it takes little effort to sit on a couch and watch a movie. But it takes great effort to clean the entire home or get out and work!
Thankfully, there are some tools—motivational tools—to help humans get up and go.
You know of the alarm clock that sounds loudly enough to make someone spring from a bed like jack-in-the-box. We’ve all likely come across amazing motivational speakers and coaches. And, of course, God has a way of motivating us when we talk to Him.
In the realm of fitness, it can be especially difficult to find motivation to work out. Because at the end of the day, one might argue that we don’t need to work out.
But everyone agrees that food, shelter, and sleep are needed for survival. This is why someone will skip working out (e.g, walk past a Zumba studio, haha!) to go to the restaurant next door. It is understandable…
But the reality is we actually do need to move. We were created to move, and our health is so much better when we do.
The next time you struggle finding motivation to exercise, here is a fun alphabet to recall:
